Donald J. Kulowski, Jr., C.S.P., C.B.P.

President
Previous Professional Experience: Donald Kulowski, Jr. has been in the swimming pool industry for over 32 years. In that time, he has acquired extensive expertise in the areas of filtration, hydraulics, and water chemistry. Although Mr. Kulowski has previous experience in pool construction, he has focused his energies on swimming pool restorations. Over the years he has supervised the restoration of commercial, residential, and municipal swimming facilities in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. Mr. Kulowski has served as both president and board member of the Connecticut Spa and Pool Association. Mr. Kulowski has completed extensive education to become certified through the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP). Mr. Kulowski is also licensed to perform swimming pool service by the State of Connecticut.

Project Responsibilities: In his capacity of general superintendent, it is his responsibility to oversee all workmen in performance of their duties as well as providing quality control of equipment and materials used. In this position, Mr. Kulowski uses his knowledge and expertise to assure that every job meets the high standards of Century Pool Corporation.

Holly C. Kulowski

Previous Professional Experience: Mrs. Kulowski has obtained over 30 years in supervisory capacities in the swimming pool industry as well as the legal field. Mrs. Kulowski was the owner of Legal Support Services for several years, working with many attorneys in Connecticut. She has been involved with the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) since 1980 and was responsible for the creation of the "Starting Block", a pool newsletter for the professional pool industry. Mrs. Kulowski has been to many schools and seminars including Raypak Heater Repair, Basic Water Chemistry, Advanced Water Chemistry, and Professional Service Manager. She is also the driving force in coordinating Century Pools's annual educational seminar which is presented to pool operators of commercial as well as municipal pools. This seminar encompasses pool maintenance, pool repairs, pool chemistry, and Department of Public Health/Department of Environmental Protection guidelines.

Project Responsibilities: As the prime client contact, Mrs. Kulowski is responsible for the administration of all projects from inception to completion. Her responsibilities include overseeing all daily office operations of Century Pool as well as scheduling of work, customer relations, buying, selling, and yes, on occasion, you might see her out on a job site working hand in hand to physically gain more knowledge to be better able to professionally assist our customers and understand employee problems encountered in the field.

Previous Professional Experience: Mr. Kulowski has accumulated over 46 years experience building and designing pools as well as evaluations of existing pools in the New England (Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts) area, New York, Maryland, Florida, Canada and Granada, and West Indies, with particular emphasis in the area of commercial projects. He has been involved in extensive pool design work in consultation with many municipal Parks and Recreation Departments in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.

Mr. Kulowski is certified by the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) as both a service professional and as a building professional. Additionally Mr. Kulowski is a former liaison and advisor for Connecticut Pool and Spa Association (CONSPA) Builder's Council to the Department of Public Health and Addiction Services Pool Advisory Committee, CONSPA's previous representative to the Department of Environmental Protection concerning waste water discharge and compliance and was instrumental in drafting guidelines for water discharges, correct cleaning procedures, and preparation for the application of pool coating. Mr. Kulowski is also the APSP governmental liaison to the Connecticut State Legislature for industry license issues, and a member of the CONSPA Hazardous Materials Committee, and an advisor to OSHA and the E.P.A. Mr. Kulowski also presents many seminars to various management companies, municipalities, YMCAs, YWCAs, and other pool companies.
